I would like to make the cookie dough and put them in the freezer until Chrismas. Then we can shape and bake. Is this possible? What is the process for freezing?

I have made this recipe 3 times now and am not getting anywhere close to 32 cookies and am using a cookie cutter smaller than 4 inches. I am rolling them about 1/4 inch thick. I usually get 14 cookies from a recipe. What step am I missing to get as many cookies as the recipe states?

Made these for my daughter’s classroom cookie decorating activity. These cookies were so delicious and I loved how the dough was soft but definitely not sticky to work with, made rolling and cutting out so lovely. I didn’t use the frosting recipe this time but this is my new go to cut out cookie recipe.

Can I use self rising flour instead of all purpose flour, baking powder and salt?
